The Cooper Foundation recently received a $50,000 donation from Barbara T. Ferraro Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, which will support ovarian cancer research at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. This generous contribution marks the second round of funding within a single year, bringing the total support from the Barbara T. Foundation to $100,000.

The funds will help develop the next generation of innovative ovarian cancer treatments by supporting MD Anderson at Cooper’s critical research into the NRF2 and KEAP1 genes, which play a pivotal role in cancer cell resistance to chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Read more.

(Camden, NJ) – Cardiovascular researchers at Cooper University Health Care have discovered a revolutionary new technology that has the potential to fundamentally change how clinicians study heart and vascular function.

Lawrence Mulligan, PhD, FAHA, director of research in the Department of Anesthesiology at Cooper and Associate Professor at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, in collaboration with Jeffrey Hill, Sc, ACS, FASE, advanced cardiac sonographer and assistant professor of cardiac ultrasound at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University in Worcester, Massachusetts, have developed a patent-pending technology called Myocardial Work Quantification, which has the potential to usher in a new era in cardiovascular research. (CAMDEN, NJ) – A team of cardiologists at Cooper and Inspira Cardiac Care recently became the first in the region to implant the EVOQUE tricuspid valve replacement system, the first transcatheter therapy to receive U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for the treatment of tricuspid regurgitation. The procedure took place at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

Tricuspid regurgitation, also known as tricuspid valve regurgitation, is a heart valve disease that occurs when the tricuspid valve doesn’t close properly.  Read more.
