Training Program Helps Cooper Team Members Advance in Their Careers

Nine Cooper University Health Care team members recently graduated from the health system’s Critical Care Technician training program, a class to help entry-level team members advance in their health care careers while training for one of the fastest growing professions in the health care industry.

For the convenience of the community and to continue expanding vaccination rates in the region, Cooper University Health Care in conjunction with the New Jersey Department of Health will offer mobile walk-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics at the Cherry Hill Mall throughout September and October. More Than 2,100 Backpacks Donated Through The Cooper Foundation’s Operation Backpack

Thanks to the generosity of Cooper University Health Care team members and other donors, The Cooper Foundation purchased 2,110 backpacks and additional supplies for students enrolled at KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy’s Lanning Square Primary, Lanning Square Middle School, Whittier Elementary, Whittier Middle, and Charles Sumner High School as part of the Foundation’s annual Operation Backpack. To help increase community vaccination rates for COVID-19, Cooper University Health Care is now offering COVID-19 vaccinations in 40 of its primary care offices throughout South Jersey.

Eight-year-old Lily Cuticchia of Haddon Township, NJ, is back at it again, opening her heart and hands to help others in need. The soon-to-be third grader St. Rose of Lima Catholic School recently visited Cooper University Hospital to donate more than 200 backpacks filled with blankets and personal care items to help homeless patients receiving care at Cooper’s emergency department and addiction medicine program. The number one high school basketball team and player in the nation promote the importance of vaccinations before the start of the school year

Arriving via a patriotic flag run, a contingent of U.S. Navy SEALs and representatives from the GI Go Fund visited Cooper University Health Care on August 6 to thank frontline health care workers for their efforts during the pandemic.
