Global Finance Company DLL Donates 80 iPads to Cooper University Health Care

DLL, a global asset finance company, has donated 80 iPad minis to Cooper University Health Care to enhance communications for patients and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

With restricted visitor policies in place to continue to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, Cooper has used various technologies, including computer tablets, to facilitate communications between patients and their loved ones. Read more.

Celebrating Cooper Superheroes – Our Patient Transportation Team

On Friday, June 5, 2020, the Patient Transportation Department was honored by its management for the fine work they’ve done during the height of the coronavirus pandemic. Andy Davis, Director of our Patient Transportation team shared the following with us:

Philadelphia 76ers and the GIANT Company Support Hospital Workers and Female and Minority-Owned Local Restaurants With ‘Feeding the Frontlines’ Initiative

76ers and The GIANT Company team up to donate 2,500 meals to Philadelphia and Camden hospital workers.

Companies to support female and minority-owned restaurants through their “Off Their Plate” non-profit.

The Philadelphia 76ers and The GIANT Company announced today a joint initiative entitled, “Feeding the Frontlines,” which will provide meals to hospital workers through local restaurants. Together they will donate 2,500 meals to healthcare workers at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a grantee of the Sixers Youth Foundation, as well as partner hospital Cooper University Health Care in Camden, Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia and other local healthcare providers. Cooper University Health Care Physician Named Prestigious 2020 Bloomberg Fellow

Cooper University Health Care physician Matthew S. Salzman, MD, has been named one of the prestigious 2020 Bloomberg Fellows by Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Dr. Salzman is one of only 50 master of public health fellows (MPH) and eight doctor in public health (DPH) fellows from 27 states, and Washington, D.C., in the 2020 cohort. The 2020 Bloomberg Fellows will receive extensive public health training to tackle critical health issues across the country. Read more.

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper has taken the lead in bringing next-generation radiation treatment technology to the fight against cancer for our patients, announced Generosa Grana, MD, director of MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper recently received delivery of the key components of its new MR Linac – and will begin treating patients with this advanced technology in fall 2020 at its location in Mount Laurel. Read more.
