Cooper Research About Patient Perceptions of CT Scans and Cancer Risk In National News

Results from a research study led by Cooper Emergency Medicine physician Brigitte Baumann, MD, received national media coverage this week. The study, which was published in the Annals of Emergency Medicine, looked at patient perceptions of CT scans and their cancer risk.

Study: ED Patients are Confident in CT Scans for Abdominal Pain

Several health web sites and magazines published an article about a study conducted in Cooper’s Emergency Department that found patients with non-traumatic abdominal pain express greater confidence in decision making when CT Imaging is included in the diagnostic evaluation.
