“Turn the Tide Summit” Held at Cooper

Cooper University Health Care was proud to host The American Pain Association’s “Turn the Tide Summit” to address the challenges and strategies surrounding America’s opioid epidemic. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was the keynote speaker at the summit which was attended by medical professionals, elected officials, and former athletes among others.

Dr. Michael Sabia Shares Opioid Alternatives at Addiction Taskforce Meeting

The Camden County Freeholder Board formed an Opiate and Heroin Addiction Awareness Task Force in 2014 with a mission to increase awareness among county residents of heroin and prescription drug abuse and the devastating effects on the community.

On Tuesday, September 26, 2017, Cooper’s Dr. Michael Sabia, Dr. Anthony Mazzarelli, and Dr. Matthew Salzman attended a meeting of the Taskforce to discuss alternatives to opioids for the treatment of pain. Read more.
