Nicole M. Fox, MD, MPH, Appointed Associate Director of Trauma

Nicole M. Fox, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor of Surgery, has been appointed Associate Director of Trauma for Cooper University Hospital’s Level I Trauma Center.

Dr. Fox is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College. She received her medical degree along with a master’s in public health in health policy and administration from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School and the UMDNJ-School of Public Health. She completed her general surgery training at Christiana Care and fellowship training in surgical critical care at Cooper University Hospital.

Dr. Fox joined the faculty at Cooper in 2011. She has specific interests in health administration, performance improvement and patient safety. She is a co-chair of the performance improvement committee for the Division of Trauma and has served as the Medical Director of  North 7  since 2011. She serves on several hospital committees to improve process and outcomes and recently completed her yellow belt training in Lean Six Sigma. Dr. Fox is also active in clinical research with several national presentations and publications in the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. At the national level, she serves as a member of the Scholarship Committee for the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma.
