The Second Annual Berkowitz Lecture

Cooper physicians, fellows, residents and medical students are invited to the Second Annual Berkowitz Lecture featuring physician and author Danielle Ofri, MD, PhD. The program, entitled “The Amygdala and the Stethoscope: How Emotions Affect the Practice of Medicine,” takes place on April 9, 2014, at 12:30 p.m. at the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.

Danielle Ofri, MD, PhD, D.Litt (Hon), FACP, is an Associate Professor of Medicine, New York University School of Medicine, the Editor-in-Chief of Bellevue Literary Review, a writer for The New York Times and author of “What Doctors Feel: How Emotions Affect the Practice of Medicine.”

The Berkowitz Lecture series is made possible by a generous gift from The Berkowitz Family Foundation to the Cooper Foundation to sponsor annual educational programs for physicians and students on a variety of medical ethics featuring world-renowned experts in the field.
