Zipcar Now Available at Cooper University Hospital

zipcarDo you need an occasional ride but want the convenience that is not often available with public transportation? Here’s some exciting news. Zipcar, in partnership with Cooper University Health Care and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, has expanded its service to the Camden area and is now offering residents, employees, visitors and students, as well as guests of the Ronald McDonald House NJ, access to cars “on-demand” by the hour or by the day.

A Nissan Sentra and a VW Jetta are now available, for reservation by Zipcar members, in the Camden County Improvement Authority (CCIA) garage, adjacent to Cooper University Hospital. Camden County donated the parking spaces in the CCIA parking garage as part of their Sustainable Camden County program, an initiative to reduce emissions and the carbon footprint in the county.

Zipcar hourly reservations in Camden start at $9.25 per hour and $73 per day for drivers on Zipcar’s “Occasional Driving Plan.” Gas, insurance and 180 miles of driving per day are included in the cost of all reservations. More information is available at www.zipcar.com/camdenNJ.
