BRA Day is a nationally celebrated day of breast-health awareness and screenings to be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at The Ripa Center for Women’s Health and Wellness at Cooper in Voorhees.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Mammograms – appointments are available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Appointment and script from your physician required. The Ripa Center’s sensory suite for mammography is designed with an environmental ambiance of scent, sight and sound to ease any anxiety of a mammogram you may be experiencing. Please call 856.342.2380 for your appointment.
Bra Crafting – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All are welcome to “support” those who have been touched by breast cancer by taking part in decorating bras to be displayed in the Healing Garden located on the Voorhees campus. (Bras and craft supplies will be provided.) No appointment necessary.
Bra Fittings – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Complimentary bra fittings to be offered by Posh Lingerie and Bra Boutique of Cherry Hill, NJ.
No appointment necessary.
Breast Reconstruction Lunch-and-Learn Program – Noon to 1 p.m.
Many women eligible for breast reconstruction following cancer surgery may not be aware of their options. Join us for a discussion led by Kristin L. Brill, MD, Program Director of The Janet Knowles Breast Cancer Center, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, and Director of the Section of Breast Surgery; and A. Leilani Fahey, MD, Attending Surgeon, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. A FREE boxed lunch will be provided. Registration is required by calling 856.342.2380 .
