Pediatrics Code Review and Crisis Management Workshop

This four-hour course is designed to prepare nurses for a code blue, code white or medical crisis situation. The first portion of the course reviews how to check the code cart, the contents of the pediatric and adult code cart, primary and secondary ABCD assessment, the nurse’s role before and after the code team arrives, the roles of the code team members and how to correctly complete the code blue/white resuscitation documentation. The second portion of the course is conducted in the simulation lab. Hands-on crisis situations are created using Simman and Simbaby. This portion of the course is designed so that the nurse may practice, in a purely learning environment, how to react to crisis or emergent situations.

Space is limited in this course, so please register early!
