Have You heard About Movember for Men’s Health Awareness?

ThiStock_000069171223_Smalle Movember Foundation’s movement challenges men and women – known as Mo Bros and Mo Sistas – to come together as a united voice to bring funding and attention to men’s health issues by “growing a Mo” or sporting a fake mustache to raise donations and spark vital conversation.

MD Anderson Cooper is taking part in the Movember challenge and we want you to join us! Here’s how you can take part:

• Purchase a fake mustache or grow your own to show support for men’s health issues, including prostate and testicular cancer awareness and detection.

Faux “mo’s” are $1.00 and the proceeds support the Movember Foundation. To purchase a mustache, please see team members in any one of the following MD Anderson Cooper locations:
CAMDEN – Carrie Brannigan (Concierge Desk).
VOORHEES – Tina Hazel/Tina Cross.
WILLINGBORO – Rocky DiGati.

• Post a picture of your real or faux ‘stache to your favorite social media site and tag Cooper University Health Care. Be sure to make the post public so everyone can view your photo and share in the fun!

• Take part in the “Somer ‘Stache Challenge” and cast your vote for the best mustache! Robert A. Somer, MD, has thrown down the gauntlet and challenged Jeffrey J. Tomaszewski, MD, to a mustache challenge! Both doctors will post pictures of their mustaches on Cooper’s Facebook page throughout the rest of the month. Staff can log on and “like” their favorite ‘stache. At the end of the month we’ll announce the winning doctor!

Please sport your ‘stache this month and join us as we show support and raise awareness of men’s health!
