Summer Medical Education High School Program

Due to the overwhelming success of MEDacademy 2015, the Office of Program and Business Development at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) is once again offering the four-week summer medical education enrichment program for high school students interested in the field of medicine. If you know a high school student entering his/her junior or senior year in fall 2016 who aspires to become a physician, this program provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore the world of medicine and refine his/hertheir particular interest in health care.

Eligible candidates should be highly motivated, talented students in excellent academic standing (GPA 3.3 or above) and who demonstrate an interest in medicine. Tuition for the four-week program (July 11, 2016, through August 5, 2016; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) is the same as last year, $2,500, and includes: scrubs, stethoscope, daily lunch, field trips, educational resources, graduation reception and ceremony.

During the next two weeks, this program is being offered exclusively to CMSRU, Rowan University and Cooper University Health Care faculty, physicians, students and staff so that your friends and family can get an early start on the application process for this highly competitive program. Space is limited. Only 32 students will be accepted into the 2016 program.
