Save a Life Through CPR: Be the Difference, One Million in 90 Seconds

June 1-7, 2016, is National CPR and AED Awareness Week. Join the American Heart Association’s “Be the Difference, One Million in 90 Seconds” campaign. This effort is to train one million CPR lifesavers in 92 seconds on June 2, 2016, at noon.

Each year, more than 350,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the United States. Statistically speaking, if you are called on to give CPR in an emergency, you will most likely be trying to save the life of someone you love or know, such as a spouse, parent, grandparent, child, friend, or neighbor.

CPR, especially if performed in the first few minutes of cardiac arrest, can double or triple a person’s chance of survival. On June 2, 2016, at noon, in just 92 seconds, you can learn the two simple steps to Hands-Only CPR.
