Cooper Providing Medical Coverage in Springfield, PA, During Championship

Cooper University Health Care will serve as the medical services provider at the 2016 U.S. Women’s Amateur Golf Championship. This national championship, conducted by the United States Golf Association (USGA), will be held August 1-7, 2016, at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, PA.

Cooper emergency physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, coordinated through the Cooper Bone & Joint Institute and Cooper’s Emergency Services Department, will staff an on-site medical tent and be available to provide emergency and routine care to players and spectators as needed throughout the seven-day event.

Michael E. Chansky, MD, Chairman and Chief, Department of Emergency Medicine at Cooper, and Lawrence S. Miller, MD, Chairman and Chief, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, and Director, Cooper Bone & Joint Institute, are the medical committee co-chairs for the championship.
