Psychiatry Grand Rounds Series Begins Today

The topic of the first session, which will be held in the  Dean’s Conference Room in the Education and Research Building on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, from 11 a.m. until noon, is “Neurodevelopment Effects of Psychotropic Medications: Timing is Everything.” The neurodevelopmental effects of psychotropic medications have not been well studied. Yet, this information is highly relevant to clinical psychopharmacology in children and adolescents. Karin Borgmann-Winter, MD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, CHOP, University of Pennsylvania, will describe the basic landscape of neurodevelopment and consider the possible interactions between psychotropic medications and developmental time points. CME credit will be provided for each session in the series.
