Free Program: Integrating Oral Health Into Primary Care

The New Jersey Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics will hold free program designed to improve medical dental collaboration and boost patient referrals to a dental home by age 1. Free CMEs and CEUs are offered for medical providers, dental providers, and nurses.

Panel discussion: Best Practices for Effective Pediatric Oral Health Implementation

  • Sam Wakim, DMD, MPH, Chief Dental Officer, Zufall Health Center
  • Cathy Ballance, MD, MPH, FAAP, Meridian Health, Jersey Shore Family Health Center

Intended audience: Pediatricians, dentists, residents, dental hygienists, community health workers, and other health care providers. This program will offer physician, dentist, and nursing credits.

  • 2 CME/CEU credits approved for Medical and Dental Providers and Nurses.
  • Increase knowledge on the important role of the pediatric provider in preventing Early Childhood Caries (ECC).
