How is Hand Hygiene with Alcohol Hand Sanitizer Performed?
- Put enough alcohol hand sanitizer in cupped hands to cover all surfaces of hands.
- Rub hands palm to palm.
- Right palm over left dorsum interlace fingers and vice versa.
- Palm to palm with finger interlaced.
- Back of fingers to opposing palms with fingers interlocked.
- Rotational rubbing of the left thumb clasped in the right palm and vice versa.
- Rotational rubbing backward and forward with clasped fingers of right hand in left palm and vice versa.
- Rub until dry..
- This should take around 15-20 seconds.
- Do not rinse or wipe off the hand sanitizer before it dries.
