Psychiatry Grand Rounds: The Current State of the National Opiate Pandemic in New Jersey

Tony Rajiv Juneja, MD, MS, is triple board certified in adult psychiatry, addiction medicine, and integrative medicine. He is a graduate fellow of Dr. Andrew Weil’s Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. Dr. Juneja practices adult psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, and integrative psychiatry in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Dr. Juneja was Chairman of the Ocean County, NJ, Opiate Task Force, dedicated to reducing the impact of addiction in youth, in an area where opioid addiction is at an all-time high.

The intended audience for this activity includes psychiatrists and psychologists. Other health care professionals including physicians from other disciplines, residents, medical students, nurses, therapists, and social workers may also participate.

Successful completion of one hour of a continuing medical education (CME) course recognized by the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, or the American Podiatric Medical Association is equal to one hour of continuing education for New Jersey nursing license renewal (New Jersey Board of Nursing 13:37-5.3).
