In the fast-paced world of health care it can be easy to lose sight of your own well-being as you focus on caring for others. To help you better understand your current health status and potential health risks, Cooper is offering free biometric screenings to all employees enrolled in the AmeriHealth plan as part of our Thrive 365 program.
Biometric screenings provide reliable information about your risk for chronic preventable conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and obesity.
As an added convenience and time-saver, employees who plan to participate in the 2018 Cooper Annual Wellness Incentive can receive a biometric screening instead of an annual physical.
To be eligible for the Annual Wellness Incentive, employees must:
- Be enrolled in the Cooper Basic, Core, or Standard Plan.
- Complete an annual physical or biometric screening.
- Attest to being a non-tobacco user during Open Enrollment.
- Complete a Personal Health Assessment. Computers will be available to complete the assessment at the biometric screenings or click here to complete it now.
What to expect at the screenings:
- For optimal results you must fast eight hours prior to screening.
- Screenings take approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
- During these screenings your height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, glucose, HDL, LDL, TC/HDL ratio, cholesterol, and triglycerides will be assessed.
- The screenings are administered by licensed RNs and LPNs from US Wellness.
Screening results are confidential. You will receive a copy of your results for your records and to share with your provider. Results are also accessible to your Cooper provider through Epic if you choose.
