Please be advised that tomorrow, Wednesday, August 22, 2018, the replacement of service elevator car #21 in the Dorrance Building will begin. Replacement of the elevator car is expected to last until mid-October.
This elevator services the Mother/Infant, Maternal-Fetal, and Labor & Delivery units. Patient movement in these areas will be impacted during the period of replacement. To ensure patient safety, the affected departments have made plans for alternate and emergency routes.
Employees who use this elevator should plan accordingly. Staff who have card reader access to car #20 will be able to access the NICU and Labor & Delivery Triage from the elevator on the north side of the building.
