Successful Event Aiding Diabetic Patients

On Saturday, November 3, 2018, Cooper held a free diabetes eye and foot screening event for the uninsured and underinsured at the Kroc Center Family Practice in Camden. This event was held in partnership with the Department of Human Services Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The event was a huge success! We provided eye and screening services to approximately 40 diabetic patients.

Special thanks to the Community and Population Health staff who were involved in planning, coordinating, and assisting at the event:

  • Max Kursh, Director, Community Health
  • Stephanie McBeth, Manager, Population Intelligence
  • Lorraine Sweeney, Community Outreach Coordinator
  • Angela Spinelli, Population Care Coordinator
  • Kathy Zublic, Population Care Coordinator
  • Nicole McCormick, Population Health Coach
  • Danielle Majuri, AVP, Population Integration and Regulatory

Also, a big thank you to Dr. David M. Millili and Dr. Ghada Haddad for performing the foot exams.

Lastly, we are extremely appreciative of our wonderful Patient Services Representative, Emily Peralta, who provided all the translation for our Spanish-speaking patients. This was crucial, as we had many patients that did not speak any English.
