On Thursday, November 8, 2018, a portion of Benson Street will be closed temporarily to install a combustion turbine for the new power plant being constructed to increase energy efficiency and ensure power to the hospital should there be a major power outage. From 6 a.m. until 4 p.m., we will close a portion of Benson Street to bring in a crane to lift the equipment into place.
Employees and patients will still have access to the CCIA garage from Benson Street, but traffic will be detoured around the work area as noted in the diagram below. Sheriff’s Officers and Cooper Security will be on the scene to help guide traffic.
