Top row: Congratulations to mom Jasmine and early happy birthday to baby girl E’laya, born 12:01 a.m. on January 1, 2018; our five female trauma surgeons, who comprise 50 percent of our trauma surgery staff of physicians, are an awesome rarity: this complement of female trauma surgeons is almost unheard of in trauma centers around the country where many do not even have one female trauma surgeon on staff; the #CooperTeam cheered their way through an amazing Eagles season!

Middle row: Cooper’s TICU team welcomes home trauma surgeon John Chovanes, DO, a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Corps, who returned from deployment in the Middle East in November; Volunteers of the Year Jenn and Jack showing their love for the Eagles; celebrating Jeremy Witcher, Critical Care Tech III on Kelemen North/South 8 Med Surg Telemetry, who was July’s Employee of the Month!

Bottom row: Announcing our planned state-of-the-art, $27 million, 90-bed inpatient treatment facility in Cherry Hill with Advanced Recovery Systems in October; celebrating Thomas Egan, RN, in Cooper’s Critical Care Unit, and recipient of The DAISY Award for providing exceptional nursing care in April; Honoring Cooper Trauma Surgeon John Chovanes, DO, FACS, USAR, with the inaugural Cooper Military Employee of the Year award in May.
