New! Cooper Intranet Hub for All Things Research

Introducing Research Connections, a new Cooper intranet hub for all things research.

Phillip Dellinger, MD, MSc, Medical Director of the Cooper Research Institute and Professor of Medicine at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, reports that the initial idea behind the new Research Connections website was a blog to connect those looking for research opportunities with those doing research at Cooper. Now, Research Connections is so much more. It is a database of research opportunities, scholarly publications, EMR chart review studies, and clinical trials. In addition, Research Connections has a step-by-step guide on how to get started in research and the steps necessary to submit a research proposal to the Institutional Review Board. As a teaching hospital, Cooper’s mission includes research– and Research Connections will foster new discovery.

Research Connections will help residents and medical students who are looking for research mentors,” says Christa Schorr, DNP, RN, Clinical Nurse Scientist, who developed the blog with expert programming from James Kettinger, Senior Web Developer at Cooper.

Each of Cooper’s academic divisions has research related to their fields. Research Connections provides a central location to connect individuals according to their specialty and interest. It also serves as a searchable warehouse for ongoing and published Cooper research.

Medical professionals within Cooper University Health Care and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University who are interested in participating in the blog should go to https://research.cooperhealth.org and click the “Register” link to request an account. Once you’ve been approved, roll up your sleeves and get ready to research!
