The City of Camden, Cooper’s Ferry, and Camden County have asked us to provide input on the proposed Newton Avenue Signal and Alignment Improvement project. The project will focus on the area of Newton Avenue between Kaighn Avenue and 4th Street, and Pine Street and 7th Street (see picture below).
The primary goals of the project are to:
- Enhance motor vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian mobility while reducing accidents within the area.
- Upgrade intersections for ADA compliance.
- Modify intersections to improve safety.
- Upgrade/replace the underground infrastructure.
- Improve roadway pavement and sidewalks.
