Save the Date! Cooper University Health Care and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) present the Sixth Annual Camden Scholars’ Forum Poster Contest on April 15, 2019.
The program recognizes outstanding achievement in the fields of research and performance improvement. All eligible posters will be judged by Cooper and CMSRU faculty and scored for the abstract, poster design, title clarity and completeness, methods, results, and discussion/conclusions. Contest winners will give a short oral presentation about their projects during the forum on April 26, 2019. Top-scoring posters in each category will receive a prize.
Categories for Poster Applications
- Clinical
- Basic
- Case Study
- Medical Student
- Nursing Research
- Allied Health
- Performance Improvement (PI)
Applications are being accepted now on the Cooper intranet: http://assets.cooperhealth.org/researchweek
Performance Improvement projects include Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance, and Patient Safety projects. The intent of these projects should be aimed at improving local systems of care and not generalized results.
If you plan to submit a PI project and need the Project Description Form, please contact:

Please submit the form by Friday, February 15, 2019. If the project is determined to be research, an electronic application must be submitted immediately to the IRB for review and approval.
Important Dates and Deadlines:
- Application Deadline: Friday, February 22, 2019
- Final Biostatistics Meeting (if necessary): Friday, March 15, 2019
- Abstract and PowerPoint Slide of Poster (NEW!) Deadline: Friday, March 22, 2019
- Camden Scholars’ Forum Poster Contest: Begins Monday, April 15, 2019
- Winner’s Forum: Friday, April 26, 2019
CMSRU students who conducted projects this past summer that have already been reviewed and approved by the IRB do not need another IRB approval. Just complete the application and submit the abstract.
