Cooper’s orthopaedic surgery team continues to promote their academic mission. Recently, team members attended the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, and orthopaedic oncology had three podium presentations by Cooper Medical School of Rowan University medical students (Gabe Makar, Alec Kellish, Chris Rivera-Pintado) and Cooper residents.
One of the podium presentations was featured in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons newsletter – The Daily Edition, AAOS Now. Click here to read the news article. Sandra Miskiel, Cooper’s current research fellow in orthopaedics, worked hard on the paper and delivered a fantastic presentation. Additionally, it was selected to be featured in the Highlights of the Academy, which makes it one of the top five papers in the area of orthopaedic oncology that was presented.
