Highlighting Our Med-Surg Nurses Through Facebook Live

In February, March, and April, we highlighted the medical-surgical units on Kelemen 8, 9, and 10. Learn more about what makes each floor special for our nurses and patients, and please share with any nurses you know who may be interested in joining the Cooper team!

  • On February 28, 2019, we were live with Shay DiBartolomeo, MSN, RN, Clinical Director; Shannon Burke, BSN, RN, Associate Clinical Director; and Sarah Hummer, BSN, RN; all from Kelemen 8, a medical-surgical telemetry unit that predominantly sees patients requiring cardiac care.
  • On March 28, 2019, we were live with Stephanie Urbanski, Clinical Director; Julie Hunter, RN; and Rebecca Yarnall, Interim Associate Clinical Director; on Kelemen 10 at Cooper. K10 is a fast-paced med-surg unit that also treats telemetry and intermediate care patients: three units in one. This unit includes wound care, dialysis, and vented patients, building a broad base of knowledge and experience, especially for a new-to-practice RN.
  • On April 16, 2019, we were live with Jillian Curnew, MSN, RN, Clinical Educator II; Krystal Lazos BSN, RN, Clinical Director of Kelemen 9; and Amanda Roma, BSN, RN. This unit specializes in the delivery of high-level nursing care to the medical and surgical population. Telemetry monitoring is performed by trained, certified staff for patients with cardiac needs. Patients on this unit have a range of conditions from gastrointestinal ailments to requiring post-operative care.

At Cooper, our medical-surgical team includes experienced and new-to-practice nurses.
