May Is National Stop the Bleed Month

Death from bleeding can occur within minutes. Don’t let someone’s life hang in the balance while waiting for emergency responders.

May is National Stop the Bleed month, and the Cooper Trauma Outreach team is bringing this training to the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU), and other locations throughout the community. The CMSRU location, along with the other locations, is open to everyone. Cooper employees, students, family members, and any interested public are encouraged to sign up for this free course – get trained and be ready to act in the face of an emergency.

At these sessions, you will learn what it takes to step in and stop the blood loss, including:

  • Hemorrhage control.
  • Reviewing and practicing vital skills.
  • Acting quickly when it counts.
