We love this photo of Maribel Brickhouse, RN, a Cooper Radiation Oncology Nurse, shared with us for Nurses Week. Here’s what she wrote:

“This is my graduation class at Helene Fuld School of Nursing in Camden County in 1999. The school was originally located in Camden, NJ, attached to West Jersey Hospital now called Virtua. Since Helene Fuld was affiliated with Camden County College (CCC), you would receive your diploma from Helene Fuld School of Nursing and Associated Degree through CCC. I was part of the alumni and attended the Grand Finale Celebration at the Merion in Cinnaminson, NJ, in October 2011. Helene Fuld School of Nursing closed its doors after the last class in December 2011. It will be greatly missed.

I have been a Nurse at Cooper since 2000 after graduating from Helene Fuld School of Nursing in December of 1999. Prior to becoming a nurse at Cooper I was a multi-skilled tech. I started out as a nurse in the Cardiac PCU on the 8th floor for almost eight years. Then I became a pool nurse and worked throughout the hospital, including pre-admission testing for five years, the outpatient surgical unit on the 6th floor, and currently as a radiation oncology nurse.”

Happy Nurses Week, Maribel!
