Rals (Point of Care) System Scheduled Downtime

The Rals point-of-care system has been successfully completed.

Date: Thursday, November 14, 2019, at 11 p.m.

Duration: Approximately four hours

Description: Rals will be taken down for approximately four hours for an application upgrade.

Impact: During the downtime, Point of Care instruments (such as Glucometer) will not get updates for patient demographics. Nurses/techs will be still be able to scan the patient armband and run the test. The results will be available at the bedside, but will not be available in Epic during this time. Once Rals is back up, the results will be transmitted to Epic.
