Cooper Teams Support Cathedral Kitchen With 1,175 Sandwich Donations

In the past two weeks, several Cooper teams have dedicated their time to making donations for Cathedral Kitchen, the largest emergency food provider in Camden. It is exciting to announce that combined, our teams donated 1,175 lunches to this critically important, local organization. Many thanks to the teams that made it happen:

  • On Tuesday, January 14, Cooper residents came together to make at least 200 PB&J sandwiches. In true form, the residents exceeded their goal, donating a total of 285 sandwiches, with help from program directors, program administrators, and Graduate Medical Education leadership.
  • On Wednesday, January 15, our Population Health team had all hands on deck to make 371 PB&J sandwiches for donation.
  • On Monday, January 20, in honor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, 14 volunteers came together to make 519 lunch bags in two hours. Food donations were provided by employees from our Health Information Management, Patient Accounting, and Physician Billing departments.

Thank you to all those who participated. We hope these teams inspire your next service project!
