New Infusion Unit Opens at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Voorhees

On Monday, March 23, 2020, the infusion team at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper in Voorhees celebrated a significant milestone as they moved into their new Infusion Unit and began to deliver treatment to their patients in this new space. With this move, multidisciplinary clinical space and the Infusion Unit now occupy separate spaces – with multidisciplinary clinical services based in Suite M and infusion services based in Suite F.

This move and expansion marked the completion of the second phase of the four-phase plan to extend, reconfigure, and renovate Suite M and Suite F, which house MD Anderson at Cooper’s multidisciplinary clinic, Infusion Unit, and Infusion Pharmacy.

The new, dedicated Infusion Unit in Suite F now features three nurses stations and 34 patient bays in a beautiful and spacious environment. All patients receiving infusion services will have their treatment in this new space. Soothing colors, curated artwork, modern workstations, and comfortable treatment bays create a healing environment for patients, and a pleasant, patient-centered space for staff to provide exceptional care.

Phase three of the plan will begin on Monday, March 30. This final phases will include the opening of a state-of-the-art Infusion Pharmacy in Suite F, and renovations and expansions of  clinical areas, including the addition of four new exam rooms, increased workspace for staff and providers, larger patient waiting areas,  new centralized check in/check out areas in Suite M, and an enlarged space for the lab.
