PPD and FIT Testing Has Resumed

Annual tuberculin screening tests (also known as TST and PPD) and respirator FIT testing began on Monday, July 6, 2020.

This year, new guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend annual tuberculin screening tests only for certain employees based on their occupational risk. Infection Prevention has identified areas with high risk that will require annual tuberculin screening (TST/PPD). Cooper employees who do not need a tuberculin screening test will still have to complete an in-person, written risk assessment to be compliant.

When visiting a screening site, please remember to wear your face mask and practice physical distancing of at least six feet. When you arrive, the on-site Employee Health nurse will determine if you need a tuberculin screening test or a risk assessment.

Download the 2020 schedule below to see when Employee Health will be at a location near you.

If you do not see your location on the schedule, please be assured that Employee Health will be in contact with your manager to arrange for written risk assessments.
