Since so many events are virtual this year, we thought it would be fun to start our own new “parade” tradition at Cooper!
Parade-entry creation ideas:
- Life-size: Flat piece of cardboard; or sandwich-board style “wearable” parade costume. (Example: A Mummer’s-style costume.)
- Or, a cardboard shoebox “float.”
HERE ARE THE RULES AND GUIDELINES:
• Each department is responsible for providing its own cardboard.
• The cardboard should be new, one bought recently (Example: poster board or new box.)
• Do not use anything that sat in your basement or garage, etc.
• Objects may include paper, fabric, clothing, feathers, beads, paint, boas, hats, batons, doll-house size furniture/figures for shoeboxes, other art materials, etc.
• Upload a picture of your department’s parade costume or shoebox float to the Pulse+ app no later than Wednesday, November 25, 2020.
• You must be on Pulse+ to enter the contest.
• When uploading: In the subject line you must add your department and the category – Day Shift, Night Shift, Ambulatory Offices, or Corporate Offices – for your parade photo submission.
IMPORTANT: Once your entry has been completed and the photo taken, the poster board/cardboard/box or shoebox must be removed from the Cooper office as soon as possible.
Due to the pandemic, we want to remind the teams who participate in the contest to practice physical distancing and to wear a mask while decorating their parade entry.
Entries will be displayed on Cooper’s Pulse+ app. You can begin voting ONLY on Pulse+ beginning now (they will be viewable as soon as submissions are uploaded to Pulse+) through December 4, 2020.
All Cooper employees will get a chance to review the display and ‘like’ their favorite entry. The display with the most ‘likes’ for each category will be the winner for that category. Employees can only ‘like’ each display once.
PARADE ENTRIES SHOULD BE ‘LIKED’ ACCORDING TO:
• Originality
• Quality of work
• Creative use of materials
PRIZES:
A $100 gift card will be awarded to the department with the most creative entry in the following categories:
• Day Shift
• Night Shift
• Ambulatory Offices
• Corporate Offices
Winners for each category will be announced during the week of December 7, 2020.
