Celebrating National Women Physicians Day

Today, Cooper joins our colleagues across the country in celebrating National Women Physicians Day, which is the birthday of Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman to receive a medical degree in the United States in 1849.

Women in Medicine (WIM) at Cooper, an inclusive group of providers and educators at Cooper University Health Care and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University who align for action to support women in medicine and serve as an educational resource for the community, reached out across our organization to recognize some of Cooper’s exceptional women physicians. This year, we’re spotlighting four of these remarkable physicians: Carolyn Bekes, MDJocelyn Mitchell-Williams, MD, PhDAnnette C. Reboli, MD, and Andrea M. Russo, MD. We’re also sharing more about the contributions of some of our other exceptional women physicians at Cooper, nominated by their colleagues and peers, on our blog. Click here for more!
