International Transgender Day of Visibility

March 31 is #TransDayOfVisibility. Cooper celebrates the bravery and resilience of our transgender and gender non-conforming employees, patients, and the entire transgender community. At Cooper, we value inclusion, belonging, and equality for everyone.

Cooper continues to work to make itself more inclusive and welcoming for this community and strives to meet its health care needs by using an electronic medical record (EMR) system that recognizes chosen names and personal pronouns, having physicians and providers who understand gender-affirming care, and working to further educate staff regarding unique health care needs.

Only by recognizing discrimination can we work to create equity, and we applaud the courage of the transgender and gender non-conforming community!

Members of the LGBTQ+ community have unique health care needs that deserve attention and are provided in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. Whether its gender-affirming hormone therapy for transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to reduce the risk of HIV transmission, surgical options, or well-visit care, the LGBTQ+ Health program at Cooper provides a supportive environment to meet your health care needs.
