On Thursday, June 10, 2021, Cooper University Health Care employees walked in the first Haddon Township Pride Parade! Team members from the Cooper Center for LGBTQ+ Health, Cooper Care Alliance, and other departments showed their Cooper Pride and walked down Haddon Avenue to a cheering crowd.
“It was great to join the Cooper staff and show our support for the LGBTQ+ community! Those walking in the parade, as well as spectators, had a positive energy of love and acceptance for all,” said Justin Schweitzer, DO, Medical Director for LGBTQ+ Health and Primary Care. “It’s been so rewarding for me to bring awareness to the unique health care needs of those in this community and I look forward to working with Cooper to further improve the health of all patients, including gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, and other queer people!”
