Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Honors Four Cooper Physicians

Cooper University Health Care and the Cooper Digestive Health Institute are proud that four of its physicians were honored by the Philadelphia Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation at the organization’s virtual Evening of Hope with the Stars celebration on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Danica N. Giugliano, MD; Thomas A. Judge, MD; Steven R. Peikin, MD; and Yize Richard Wang, MD, were co-recipients of the Gold Medallion Award for their dedication and service.

The event raised more than $400,000 for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation (CCF), which is dedicated to finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.

Since the organization’s founding in 1967, CCF has played a role in every major breakthrough in IBD research and has invested more than $350 million into finding the causes, treatments, and cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
