Divas For A Cure Donate to MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper

Divas For A Cure, a non-profit group of female motorcycle enthusiasts, visited MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper on December 10, 2021, to present a check for $2,700, the proceeds of their annual fundraising efforts. Since the group’s inception, it has donated more than $150,000 to the cancer center.

“We are most appreciative of the Divas For A Cure and their long-time support of MD Anderson at Cooper,” said Robert A. Ortiz, JD, Senior Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer of The Cooper Foundation.

Divas For A Cure was founded in 2005 by breast cancer survivor and motorcycle enthusiast Jan Emanuel-Costley, of Browns Mills, NJ, to promote breast cancer awareness and raise funds for breast cancer research.

“Because of the generosity of groups like The Divas, we are able offer the highest level of diagnostic, treatment, and support services to our patients,” said Generosa Grana, MD, Director of MD Anderson at Cooper.

Several years ago, a treatment room at MD Anderson at Cooper was dedicated in recognition of the group’s ongoing philanthropic efforts.
