Cooper Cardiologist Delivers Important PSA, Now Airing on TV and Radio

Andrea M. Russo, MD, FACC, FHRS, FAHA, Director, Cardiac Electrophysiology and Arrhythmia Services, and past-president of the Heart Rhythm Society, continues to participate in No Time to Wait, an advocacy campaign that aims to raise awareness of the symptoms of three conditions – atrial fibrillation (AFib), deep vein thrombosis, and pulmonary embolism. AFib is the most common type of irregular heartbeat and increases the risk for stroke.

The first phase of the campaign, a Bristol Myers Squibb-Pfizer collaboration, aired in the fall of 2020. The second campaign is airing now, during Heart Awareness Month.

This public service announcement emphasizes the importance of seeking medical attention at the first signs of symptoms.

We thank Dr. Russo for her advocacy and raising awareness of AFib.
