Gabriella Chilelli, RN, BSN, Kelemen N7- Trauma-Med Surg unit at Cooper, is the Daisy Award winner for April 2022. Her dedication to Cooper Nursing and the extraordinary care she provided to our Cooper patients earned her the following accolades from a patient:
“Gabby went above and beyond to calm me down from several panic attacks, allowed me to be able to be myself when explaining my situation. [She] was not someone who treated me like a child about my words of choice. Made sure I received medication promptly, was pleasant and sympathetic with my needs. Was able to take my sense of humor without being offended, and was always pleasant and courteous. Well mannered, always had a smile even when I was being very rude due to the pain I was in, she never was rude or inconsiderate and I was not made to feel incapable when helping with basic cleaning and caring for myself. I just feel as though she loves her job and shows care and compassion for all on the floor, [she] went above and beyond to do all she could, [and is] one of few nurses that seem to genuinely care about what she does.”
