Next Wednesday, we will celebrate Cooper University Health Care’s 135th anniversary.
We have come a long way since opening our doors to patients on August 10, 1887. From a 30-bed hospital with eight doctors on staff – four physicians and four surgeons – Cooper has transformed into a respected academic medical center and regional health care leader, with a 30-block Health Science Campus in Camden, more than 100 outpatient locations, and three urgent care centers across South Jersey. Today, we have nearly 9,000 employees on our Cooper team, with more than 800 physicians practicing in more than 75 medical and surgical specialties.
