Sunshine Award Winner: Tyesha Howell

Cooper’s Sunshine Award is given to critical care techs, nurse associates, and/or companions who demonstrate excellent patient- and family-centered care while carrying out Cooper’s mission to serve, to heal, to educate. Critical care techs, nurse associates, and companions play an important role in the health care team. Their hard work is invaluable to members of the health care team and does not go unnoticed. These team members go above and beyond and are recognized as role models. While the Daisy Award recognizes nurses, the Sunshine Award recognizes the care team that supports our nursing staff and works closely with them to provide patients with the compassion and care they need. You cannot have a Daisy without a little Sunshine.

Tyesha Howell, Critical Care Tech on Pavilion 9, is the Q2 Sunshine Award winner. Tyesha’s colleague shared the following accolade:

“Tyesha – Thank you for your contribution to the team’s success. Your commitment has been exemplary and your hard work is an inspiration to everyone around you. Well done. Thank you for your support, love, and care for your duties. You are indeed a blessing to this organization.”
