Recognizing Cooper’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Team

Cooper University Health Care’s outpatient rehabilitation department consists of more than 30 licensed therapy professionals, including physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and occupational therapists. Additionally, the therapy team is supported by many non-clinical staff members, including rehab aides and patient service representatives.

Cooper’s outpatient therapists treat individuals who are recovering from injury, trauma, surgery, or medical conditions that prevent them from living independent lives. Outpatient therapy sessions focus on helping individuals increase their mobility, strength, and function, as well as reduce their pain with prescribed exercises, education, and coping strategies. In addition to traditional therapy services, the outpatient rehabilitation department is staffed with therapists who are experienced and certified in sub-specialty areas of rehabilitation including: pelvic floor, oncology, lymphedema (swelling in the arms/legs), vestibular (dizziness/vertigo/balance), concussion, bone health (osteopenia/osteoporosis), and hand therapy. Cooper offers four convenient outpatient rehabilitation locations throughout Southern New Jersey including Camden (oncology/lymphedema rehab only), Cherry Hill, Glassboro, and Voorhees.
