Congratulations to Joseph V. Lombardi, MD, MBA, for another successful International Aortic Summit (IAS) in Aruba.
Dr. Lombardi is Professor and Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Cooper University Health Care, Director of the Cooper Aortic Center, and Co-Chair of IAS, which was established in 2011.
The 2022 IAS offered surgeons, residents, and nurses a comprehensive educational experience in aortic surgery; it is one of the most robust programs in the industry. IAS included presentations from leaders in the fields of vascular and endovascular surgery, practicing physicians, and others focused on acquiring knowledge about the latest advances in aortic surgery. An extensive group of expert faculty presented and discussed topics such as fenestrated-branched endografts, thoracoabdominal repair, adjuncts to endo AAA repair, aortic occlusive disease, graft infection, imaging, aortic dissection and emergencies, and new endovascular techniques. The next summit is planned for October 19 to October 23, 2023, in Aruba.
