Wednesday, March 8, is International Women’s Day. This world-wide celebration recognizes the achievements made by women everywhere, underscoring what can still be done to achieve inclusion and gender equality.
March is also Women’s History Month. The National Women’s History Alliance (NWHA) announced that the theme for this year is “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories.”

This theme honors women who have devoted their lives and talents to “producing art and news, pursuing truth, and reflecting society decade after decade.” Women have long played a significant role in passing on our heritage through word or print, and they will continue to do so in the generations to come.
