Nursing Professional Development Week

Every September, nursing professional development practitioners and clinical educators around the world celebrate Nursing Professional Development Week.

Clinical educators make a positive impact every day as essential supporters of frontline team members. They provide nurses with quality education throughout all stages of their careers, ensuring that nurses and the organization are recognized for quality, evidence-based practice, and patient safety.

At Cooper, our clinical educators provide programs and coordinate recognitions such as:

  • Onboarding and orientation.
  • Nurse residency transition to practice program.
  • Competency assessment and management.
  • Nursing professional development contact hours.
  • Education on use of equipment, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordination of student affiliations.
  • Nursing Excellence Awards, DAISY, Sunshine Award.

We appreciate our clinical educators for all they do. Please remember to thank and celebrate our clinical educators during this week of recognition!
