Open Enrollment

Open enrollment for your health benefits has begun and will run through November 27, 2023. While many health systems and other employers are significantly raising the amount their team members must pay for health care benefits next year. At Cooper, we are fortunate that our team members will not see an increase in their health benefits in 2024. The only team members (fewer than 1%) who will see an increase in their contributions are those who have moved into a higher tier due to a salary increase or promotion. If you have any questions regarding Open Enrollment and how it impacts you, please email the HR Benefits team at HRBenefits@cooperhealth.edu.

Your consistent dedication and commitment to serving not only Cooper patients and their families but also your fellow team members has created a strong culture at Cooper. Team member dedication and commitment to service has been the driving force behind Cooper’s success. While the health care financial landscape can change rapidly, today we are grateful to be in a position to invest in the Cooper team by not increasing team member health benefit contributions in 2024 and instead to have the year over year increase in team member health benefit costs paid for by Cooper. We want to thank you for all you do each day that makes such an investment possible.

We are also very excited to remind you that in 2024 Cooper’s benefits will be administered by the state’s largest health insurer, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, with a new pharmacy provider, Prime Therapeutics. There will be no changes to plan designs or network options.

As a reminder, open enrollment is passive this year. You only need to take action if you want to change your current health benefit elections, or you want a flexible spending account (FSA), which do not carry over from year to year. You can access the Highlights Booklet on the Cooper Virtual Benefits Site at coopervb.com.
