You’re Invited! TAP Trial Community Meeting

You are invited to participate in an important discussion to improve the care of injured people. Cooper University Health Care has been selected to participate in the Trauma and Prothrombin Complex Concentrate (TAP) trial, and your input is crucial.

Led by Cooper trauma surgeon, Dr. Tanya Egodage, the TAP trial will evaluate the effectiveness of Kcentra® (a medication already used for patients on blood thinners) to prevent further bleeding. Patients with massive bleeding will be given this medication emergently when they arrive at the trauma center to stop their bleeding. Permission will not be initially obtained, as time cannot be delayed in treating these patients.

We are seeking community members to learn about this trial, offer input, ask questions, and opt out if they choose.
